AB Mauri Fleischmann’s Helps the Earthquake Victims in Haiti

(Chesterfield, Missouri … February 4, 2010) AB Mauri Fleischmann’s recently made a cash donation to Food for the Poor to help deliver food directly to those in need in Haiti. AB Mauri Fleischmann’s coordinated with other companies in the food industry and its distribution channel to make the donation.

Food for the Poor is the largest international relief agency in the United States, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. The non-profit organization serves the poorest of the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, and more than 96 percent of all donations go directly to the programs that help the poor.

Food for the Poor is working to provide assistance to the recent disaster in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which caused complete destruction to many homes, businesses, hospitals, government buildings and infrastructure.
